I have a fondness for bamboo, and have made brushes from the more interesting
sections of the plant I have found. Here is a selection of a few of the brushes.
I think I want my blog to be about images, more than text.
I will give a brief description when needed.
Some of the images I am providing are historical pieces
such as the green/oribe handbuilt platter.
I made these several years ago. I have not found the
patience, or the time to make them again.

When I work on the potter's wheel, I make contact with the ability of the clay to move and dance in my hands. This mug was from a series, and represents the most successful of perhaps 30 made that day.
Last Spring I wasexperimenting withporcelain slip and came up with a series of forms...what I like the most about these are the shadows created on a white wall.
Images of my work. I make stoneware cups of thin sheets of clay, I fire in a reduction atmosphere to cone 11. The cups sound like tin cans when tapped..... I like the responsive quality of the clay to texture.
